Dumb Question # 1

I just purchased my first truck, after many years of driving, an 89 Lariat. Love it. Dumb question: the truck has no spare tire, no jack, no lug wrench. The question is where are these things normally placed on the truck? When I get them, where do I put them?

Thanks for your help.

Bob

Spare tire is mounted under the bed near the back, you should have a bar hanging down that the tire goes on top of. Lug wrench, jack, and jack turning tool all are located under the hood. Lug wrench on the right side (facing the truck) turning tool goes across the front and the jack is also on the right side. Hope this helps.

My jack and lug wrench are under the front passenger seat. My truck is a 99. The tool to lower the spare is across the radiator shroud.

Ditto....on my 97 and on my 2000 the jack and lug wrench is under the passenger seat. The jack turning tool is under the hood over the fan shroud.

I think back in '89 there was a lot more room under the hood for jack parts than there is now a days.
