Tires

I have a 2003 Ford F150 with 265/75R16 tires on it.I would like to run like 20 inch tires on it,or something a little bigger that I wont have to change the gears out on,lift the truck (besides body lift) or spend an over abundence on.I dont wanna buy rims so what would be the biggest tire I could run on the truck with them rims? Looking for an AT Tire or maybe even a MT Tire if it isnt to expensive. Thanks for the help !

You're current tires are basically a 32x10.50-16. If you want to stay at stock height, I'd suggest going to a 305/55-20, which is essentially a 33x12.50-20 tire and a 9 to 10 inch wide wheel with 4.5 or 5 inches of backspacing. If you choose to add a body lift, you could go up to a 35x12.50-20 tire. This is assuming you have a 4x4.

Most people will refer to a tire by it's overall height, not rim diameter. Some will combine both. For instance your tires may be called "32's on 17's" meaning a 32 inch tall tire on a 17 inch wheel. I'm suggesting you move to "33's on 20's", like a 305/55-20 tire on a 20x9 or 20x10 inch wheel.
