315/70\17 on 2001 F150 KR 5.4 4x4 s/c 2.5" leveling kit

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if 315/70/17 will fit on my 2001 F150 King Ranch Super Crew 4x4 with a 2.5" leveling kit? This are with my stock 17" wheels.

Some people are telling me it will be no problem and others are telling me I'm dreaming and need a 6" lift to fit those tires.

If anyone has this setup done already please show me your pics.

Cheers

do you already have the keys? I would never put those on mine or crank the bars to the max. suspension and steering components wear out fast enough as it is. without a lift, you're going to rub with those tires if you use your truck off the pavement or turn while hitting bumps. 305's will even rub with no lift if you hit the right bump while turning.

What would you suggest I do to fit these tires without spending too much?

I had 305 before they did rub a little but only when the steering was fully cranked. I really on drive on the pavement so that's not an issue.

Three things you could do:
1: A 6" suspension lift
2: A 3" body lift, but if you don't install yourself it will cost almost as much as the suspension lift
3: The easiest, just settle for a smaller set of tires.

Those tires will fit using your OEM wheels, but they will rub the frame slightly at full steering lock. If you go to a wider, aftermarket wheel you will need a lift kit to fit them (at least a 3 inch body lift).

I'm running 285/75/17 on stock rims and they fit just fine. (Tires are Nitto Terra Grapplers and no lift or level)
