Wrong size tire?
Wrong size tire?
I'm currently running a 275 55 R20 was looking for a bigger tire. I wanted a 33" tire. So I found a tire size chart and saw the size 275 60 R20 so I ordered the nitto terra grapplers and will have them put on next Tuesday. I've looked online for pics of this size tire and it looks to be pretty similar if not a tad smaller. Can anyone post some pics of there trucks with this size tire to help put my mind at ease? Hopping I didn't order the wrong size. Please help
Heres the math.
275 / 10 / 2.54 = 10.83 this is metric -> imperial.
10.83 * .60 = 6.5 Tire width * profile = height of sidewall
6.5 + 6.5 + 20 = 33. Sidewall height + sidewall height + rim size = total diameter.
Yes, you correctly ordered 33" tires.

Like will pointed out, the only difference between the old tire and new tire is the aspect ratio (55 vs 60). Just looking at this without doing any math, you can tell your new tire is a tiny bit taller than the old with all other things being equal (i.e. 275 width on both tires)
