In Need Of New Tires

i'm upgrading my tires due to me getting back into the truck again here soon. Its been sitting in storage while i've been stationed in Germany. Well ill be moving back soon and going to be getting some 40s for it. I have found some really good deals on 17 inch rims and 40s already mounted on ebay with free shipping so thats a huge plus. Now what do you guys think 40s on 17s will look like on my truck? Good or bad ? Right now i can stay with my 18inch rims and only find one good looking tire thats not going to break my wallet but for $200 more i can get a brand new set of 17inch rims and 40inch tires. But i want some of yall to put your opinion in here on what you would do.

Heres the truck now on 37s.

Heres one example of a set. There is a lot of deals like this right now with either mud grapplers or toyo open country m/t. A little more expensive but i will get way more mileage out of them too.

Im finding sets with 40inch tires and 20inch rims for about 500-600 more but the tires are 15.5 wide which would kill the power steering pump even though im not going to be driving the truck like i was before anyways

i think those 40's in a 13" width will look like little cookie cutters. the 15" width would look more proportional.

^^ 22's and 40s look retarded IMO but to each his own. Plus 22 inch rims were not a part of this thread or what I was asking but thanks anyways. As far as width im not worried about with a 40 inch tire so 13.5 is ok.

You could get the 17's then sell your old setup to recoup some money.
