Wheel manufacturers

I currently have stock 26570R17's on my 2000 F-150 Offroad 4x4. Looks like I'd best switch to 16" wheels to get more tire sizes for more height and wider stance (like 28575R16)....

I've done a ton of searching and I've had a difficult time finding wheels which will fit. I think my lug pattern is 5/135 and my stock backspacing is 5".

I've heard that I can't go any less than 4.5 backspacing to clear the brakes (is this true)?

At any rate...does any one have a list of wheel manufacturers that could fit my truck? thanks!!!

You may have already tried this, but I would suggest going to www.tirerack.com and doing a search for wheels by vehicle type. That should give you some idea what is available. If you don't see anything there, try calling them and see if they can help. Should be plenty of choices for our trucks.

tirerack limited

There are a lot more wheels out there than what tire rack offers. Try www.natltire.com, they have a ton of selection and you can search by brand instead of fitting them specifically to your truck.
