What brake pads to get???

need some suggestions on brake pads. I do alot of towing, camper, ATV trailer and so on. Last tow i lost the brakes on the camper and the pads on the front of the truck are just plain done in now. I'm replacing the rotors again but want a real good pad on there this time around incase... what are your thoughts on a good semi metalic pad for towing applications...

01 F150 4X4

thanks

I don't think that the Wagner ThermoQuiets can be beat. They are all I ever buy.

Since you tow a large trailer, Wagner ceramics or Hawk ceramics. Powerslot, EBC, or Baer make high quality rotors.

I ordered the Powerslot rotors already, saw good reviews and comments about them. just looking for imput on pads, EBC looked good but saw bad reviews on warrentys. the hawks and the wagners were on the top of my list but wanted some input to make up my mind.
thanks

Hawk pads for this guy! I have never felt a better initial bite from a pad.

Wagner TQ ceramic is what I have. Best pads I have ever used.

Wagner's can be beat, just not for the money. I've ran Wagner's back to back with EBC 7000's and the EBC's are superior...but you pay for it. You can do the whole truck in ThermoQuiets for less than the front for 7000's making them the obvious bang-for-the-buck choice. But, if money is not a factor, EBC is the way to go.

Carbon's the best choice for break pads for sure.

A lot of people swear by the higher-end brake pads but I've always run Raybestos on my truck and think they're great.

I just ordered a front and rear set of the powerslot drilled and slotted, with hawk ceramic pads. Ill give a review after I break them in.

Got the rotors and pads. just waiting on a caliper bracket, that some one at the dealership obviously hacked when they repaired the brakes.

The decision was made and the Wagner Thermo Q ceramics won. I got those installed last week along with new calipers. this is a big differance from what it used to be. Stops great now. There is a bit of noise when the windows are down from the slotted rotor and Ceramics especially if you have to really get on them but it's not too bad, i can accept it as long as they work better than the last set.

Thanks for all the advice and input on this. Now time to get the back done.

I got mine on yesterday, removing the rear rotors was a chore. Now I just need to get the e brake adjusted
properly. Its odd . it will hold the truck in reverse but not in drive. I've got to get this right because I need to get inspected this month.

I hear ya, used to live in MA, and inspections were always brutal. Funny story, I remember one time when I took my old 99 with dual exhaust to a shop, the guys said he couldn't do it because he only had one exhaust tube and my exhaust was "illegal" (That was before they'd just hook up to the OBDII) Really love those HD wheels BTW, IIRC they look similar to the proposed NBS Lightning wheels...truck was never developed, but wheels were)
