So during the arduous journey of finding the best bang for my buck on my next purchase of a good all-terrain tire, I stumbled upon this little deal. Tell me if I'm on to something good here.
275/70/18 BFG TA KO mounted, balanced, lifetime rotation and balance, tax, AND road hazard warranty for 1000 American cash dollars. Sound good??
The only sticking point with me on these is it seems that people who do or have owned them either love them or hate them. Plus, you see an awful lot of them out there. However, like the guy at the tire shop said, "They didn't put Baja Champion on the side of those tires for nothing and they don't come OE on the Raptors for no reason!"

Love mine. 315/70/17s. 40k+ miles, but you are right, a lot of people have them around where i live. I won't get them again, only because i want MTs next go around. But all in all a great tire, you can't go wrong.

Check the date on DOT code on the sidewall. Just to make sure you're not getting tires that are old. If that checks out, I would get them.
Discount tire has them for $232 ea.

^x2. Best AT tire on the road.
That's definitely a good deal. I'd hop on that if were you. I used to have the BFG AT's before I got my Cooper STTs. They were a great set of tires. I just went to the Coopers because I wanted something more aggressive.
Thanks for the feedback gang! A friend of mine is the manager of the shop, and I can't imagine he'd sell me old tires. I'll definitely check on the date though. About that....what would be considered "old"? For some reason there is a gigantic price difference between the 305/65 and 275/70....huge! I wonder what's up with that? They're both 10 ply and they're ain't that much more rubber on the 305's. I'd rather have those because I like the stance they afford, but I can't afford it.
