Took these off my '04 at 43k miles and were only half worn, 2 year's later they are still on a Hummer. Maybe the best tires ever made?

There is a reason everyone always compares their all terrian tire to the BFG AT KO. THey are excellent tires. One of the first mods I did on our new Jeep JKU. Lift, wheels and new AT KO's.

Just put a set on myself. 285/65/18 and so far I really like them. I started with a set of Nitto Trail Grapplers 285/65/18. They stayed on my truck less than 75 miles. Went back to the tire shop and ordered the BFG's. The Nitto's really looked great on the factory rims, but were to aggressive for me. Now have the Nittos for sale at $275 each. They even still have the hairs on the tread!

Thanks for all the input guys! Looks like when the time comes (pretty soon since the trail graps seem to wear faster the less tread they have) I'll be ordering the BFG's!

Hopefully this doesn't count as thread-jacking, but I've been curious about how the General Grabber AT2 stacks up to the BFG AT KO. Visually, they have a pretty similar tread pattern (and I recall a post on here somewhere that the General came out first).
How about wear, performance etc?

The BFG was out first. My Dad had a set on a 76 International Scout II if you remember what those were. He had the Scout when I was little and they had almost the same exact tread pattern as my KO's do now. I belive that BFG introduced the KO's in 1975-76? The Generals do have a simalar tread pattern and are a few bucks cheaper per tire. My freind w/ a Ram 1500 just got those and he was gonna go w/ the BFG's but got the Generals instead and so far he loves them. Both are really good tires. I may get the Generals after my KO's wear out and I get my lift so I can get 35's.
