Dude if you don't got the money for a new one do it. Just hope it works. My dad done that a couple times with his 78 and it worked. But few months later he bought a new one. :jester:

I'd just go ahead and get a new one.

Is the cruise control connector removable from the old cylinder to put on the new one? Looking at pics of new ones on rockauto.com, none of them have the connector.

i have a big bore (1 1/4") MC for certain 97-03 models, dont remember why i had it but i have taken it apart and the pistons and bore look great. it doesn't have the plastic tank. I'm not sure about the pipe threads and changes for certain yrs and such. But it does have the connector for the cruise control brake switch. i have no use for it. if figure it may have come from a 3/4 ton or 1 ton maybe becuz of the big bore as i call it. $15 and its yours. including ship if your in the 48 states..... epr1 at windstream.net. And yes i have put a used one on my 05. No problems.
