Mickey Thompson baja claw

I found a set of Mickey thompson baja claw tires today on craigs list they are 285/70/16 and i was wondering if they would fit my factory rim. and the tires have 1/4 tread left on them and they want $100.00 for them

They will fit on a 16" OEM wheel, and will clear on a 4x4 with no issues. Depending on how well they were taken care of they may work out for. You will still have to pay for mount and balance, and you may have trouble there. If the tires are in rough shape you may have a hard time getting the to balance, and the ride may be harsh.

my truck is 2wd. and I'm planning to go from a lowered truck to a lifted truck. and I want to get some good tires on a budget

If you want good tire don't buy these if they are at a 1/4 tread. I had a set on my trail Jeep and when they got down that far they were noisey and road like crap.

thats about where mine were when I gave them away, in the soft top Jeep you couldn't hear yourself think. But good luck to ya if you decide to get them.

They will fit (barely) on a stock height 4x2 using the OEM wheels. I wouldn't pay $100 for them. Just about every tire shop in my area sells used tires for $25 each. If they look decent, whip out something like $50 inch cash and see if he'll take that. Remind him you are gonna have to pay someone to mount and balance them. ($10 a tire in my area, but you might wanna check on that before you go)
