well if you have no issues then i guess not. whomever put your tires on did a good job centering them then. monsters are hub centric wheels so they are supposed to need the right size hub ring to make them fit snug on the hub. you may need them if you ever take your wheels off and put them back on.

 

I called the company I bought the wheels from, they are shipping me the correct ones. I might not need them but I will feel better knowing they're on there.

 

What do these rings look like and where do they install? I dont know if my wheels have them and i do have a slight vibration in the 2 rear wheels.. Maybe I dont have them installed?

I just found the 4 green rings on the shelf in my garage.. I guess I need to install them!!

 

WoW! I just installed them and the vibration is gone.. I cant believe I overlooked them when I bought the wheels!

 

haha yep that is what the rings are for. to center the wheel.

 

How about getting black and dark reddish rings with them, then which one?

 

you are going to have to find out which color is for your truck. Im guessing my what ive read each color goes to a certain make truck. Looks like green is the magic color. You will have to call the manufacturer to figure that out.

 

BLACKOUT - were do these rings go? im thinking i dont have them installed as well. I.ve taken my wheels off to clean them and didnt notice any ring.

the hole that is through the center of your wheels, the ring goes inside that hole to make the diameter of the hole smaller so that the wheels center themselves on the hub. the hub being the part of the truck on the axle that goes through the big hole in the center of the wheel.

And one of the biggest reasons why you need the rings is that it takes stress off of the lug bolts and makes the hub load bearing. Without it all loads (dynamic and static) are taken by the lug bolts. Only a matter of time before the lug bolts take a jolt and snap.

 

Been over a year since I've looked at my rings but memory tells me that the I.D. of the rings are different to fit the different hubs since Monsters have two bolt patterns. The O.D. is the same.

The quickest way to figure out which one you need is to pull the center cap off your OEM rims and measure the hub diameter and compare it to your I.D. of the rings or to pull the wheel completely and try each ring.

 

The rings mine came with are blue. Hmm.

 

To answer my question, it was the BLUE ring. Boxes came with deep red and blue. RED is for Chevy Dodge and Blue for Ford.

New colors in the boxes I guess.
