Tire question on a lifted 09
Tire question on a lifted 09
2009 4X4, stock 20s. 4" rancho lift plus rear add a leaf. Have had bfg ko but want something more aggressive. Stuck between 35/12.5 and 325/60s. Any opinions regarding fitting the 325s? Also stuck between a MT and the GY Duratracs. Thoughts?
The 325/60-20 is basically a 35x13.00-20 tire so they are pretty close.
If you want an AT more aggressive looking than the BFG AT KO, about the only ones are the **** Cepek FC II, Pro Comp Xtreme AT and the wider sizes of the Mickey Thompson ATZ.

Do you think the 325/60 will fit without rubbing?
The only concern I have is the use of the OEM wheels which have a lot (6.5 inches) backspacing. If you were using a more common wheel (like 9 inches wide with 4.5 or 5 inches of BS) I don't think there would be any issues at all.
I like hte stock King Ranch Wheels that came with the truck. Per Rancho, the manufacturer of my lift, it was designed to fit the 35X12.5x20 with STOCK rims...i just realize the 325s are a little larger. Others on my short list are the Nitto Trail Grapplers as well as the Duratracs.
I Live in TX. most miles are highway, occasional off road light duty and a least one trip every winter into skiing territory.
Thanks

x2!! i love my pro comps 35's. If you use the stock wheels you may not get the full life out of the tire, it's recommended at least a 9 inch wide wheel.
The stock wheels are 20X8.5
