Tire pressure sensors

I have an '07 F-150. Does anyones know if the '09 F-150 tire pressure sensors will work on my truck. Called the Ford dealer and he said he had no clue! That figures. Any help will be appreciated!

I believe they also mount differently. The newer trucks have went back to the sensor mounted on the valve stems.

I was told that 09 was the last year they used the TPMS bands with the stems. Apparantly, starting in 2010+ they went back to just using the stems (no bands). can anyone confirm?

Incorrect. 08 was the last year for the bands. 09 uses valve stem mount. I am using 2 sets of sensors for winter and summer tires. The OE and a set I bought for the winter tires set. They are both valve stem mount. As for switching the types for early or later version, I don't "think" it is possible

I know for a fact the 07 sensors will not work on a 2010. When I purchased my 2010 they I had aftermarket wheels on my 2007 and they tried to put them on my 2010 and they could not get the truck to recognize the old sensors. I think I read that the new sensors use a different frequency.

The 07 has a strap style sensor and the 09 has a valve type sensor. They are different sensors and cannot be interchanged.
