How do I put air in the tires?
How do I put air in the tires?
Sound easy? The mechanic at the Ford Dealership in Bay City Michigan couldn't figure it our either.
There is a solid metal cap on the end of the valve stem on my 2010 F150 pick up. The tires are low and need air.
What gives?
Anyone have an idea here?

Go to a gas station that has air pumps for tires. Many gas stations offer free or low-priced air to put in your tires.
2.
Remove the cap from the valve stem on the tire that you will be putting air into. Leave the cap in a place where it cannot roll away.
3.
Place the top of the air pump firmly over your tire's valve stem, hard enough so that you do not hear any air escaping.
4.
Continue to add air until the tire looks full, then remove the air pump from the tire's valve stem.
5.
Put a tire gauge firmly onto the tire's valve stem in order to read the tire's air pressure. If the air pressure is below the vehicle manufacturer's recommended tire air pressure level, then you will need to add more air to the tire.
6.
Repeat the process of adding air and checking the tire's air pressure until it reaches the manufacturer's recommended level.
7.
Replace the cap on the valve stem.

Add air to all four tires, if necessary. Having the same tire air pressure in all four tires will ensure smooth ride quality and potential fuel savings.

I think your post should go to the How-To section KRC.

Don't do that. I've seen a lady explode her tire trying to fill it with too much air at a gas station. LMAO.

A finer, more concise Technical Article has not been written! This will earn ya yer TAC title, KRC!
I would add one item:
9.If the tire blows up, you have added too much air. Adjust filling time accordingly.
