4.30s or 4.56s

Hey guys i have 4.10s in my truck now and with the stock size tires it ran like
a beast. Now i put 33s and it feels slugish. Just trying to decide which
gear to go with. This truck is not my daily driver so fuel millage is not
a huge concern.

thanks
wes

What are the other specs on this truck (motor/tranny)? Assuming v6 since 33's and 4.10s should be good with either v8. Automatic or 5speed?

EDIT: or is this the lariat in your signature?

Go with 4.56. I think most people regearing for tires choose between the 4.10 and 4.56, if you already have the 4.10's and they aren't enough go with the 4.56, skip the stepping stone in between.

I agree, but it seems excessive with 33's if he has a v8 and 4speed auto.

Go 4.56 as that is best bang for non DD. I ran 4.56 with 33s and it was great. Towing and City good . Highway not bad. I now have 35s and still glad I went with 4.56s

The 4.30 would be great but I don't think it will fit the housing. Next step up is the 4.56. I see you have a Lariat so I gues you have the 5.4.

dumb question but when doing a gear swap what all do you need to buy?

and to contribute to the thread, i cant see 4.10's and 33's with a 5.4 being sluggish, at all. I mean fords are kind of sluggish compared to others. Still, 4.56's would be for 35's or 37's.

I have a 4.6, 32's with 20's and 3.55's and i love it. Its not sluggish at all. When i go up to 35x1550's or 13.50's i would like to stick some 4.10's in it. I just dont know what all it takes.
