Red face TPMS light disable how-to??

Hello everyone, Is there a "how-to" on this site to disable the TPMS light on the dash? I hate the thought of having to buy new bands for new wheels for my 07 F-150 XLT. It wouldn't be so bad if they weren't so expensive to purchase. Any and all help would be most appreciated.

No way to do it other than removing the bulb, or remounting the sensors. You can find bands at other than the dealer. Try Ebay. Even Tirerack has them.

Is there a "How-to" in this forum on how to remove the bulb? I haven't torn into my 07 F-150 XLT's dash yet and if there was an easy way to do it, I would give it a try...

I don't think that is a bulb, but rather a led soldered onto the circuit board for the light. On another note...GET THE BANDS and do the job correct, they are only about $60 for all four with the cradles. If by chance you ever have an accident and have a lawsuit brought against you and it is found that an essential safety item was disabled on a vehicle that was intended to have it..the you are in the wrong. I know it s**ks the big one, but you know how some lawyers can be. Do the right thing and get the bands, at least you will be legal. Here you go: http://www.revolutionsupply.com/strapkit.aspx

I agree. Get the bands. Ebay or somewhere and move your sensors over. Mine were $80 off Ebay but that's change compared to $2000 wheels.

Do a search in the 04-08 forum, I believe someone has done it. However as the others stated, best is to get the straps.
