Factory 20 inch rims....whats the best tire ?

I have the factory 20's and have had no real problems with the Pirelli's that came on them except the fact that they flat spotted. Still have pretty good tread after 50,000 miles. I like the way the tires handle and was wondering what everyone else was doing when they needed new tires ? Are you sticking with the Pirelli's or are you going on to something new. If its a different tire...which tire and how do you like them ? I'm not looking for an aggressive tire...just something similar to the Pirelli's. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

For handling and traction, I am loving the Toyo Proxe ST IIs. have about 20,000 on them now. have no idea how long they will last, but the best performing tire I have ever had. I had always run Michelin LTX M/S.

X2, I have the Cooper Zeons and have been very pleased with them overall. I did have an issue that was covered in this thread https://www.f150online.com/forums/wh...ltz-issue.html Cooper stepped right up and took care of it. As far as ride and handling they are much better than the Pirellis IMO.

Any quality tire will be a huge improvement over the OEM tires.

If i were you i would not even think about getting a new set of pirellis. Imo and probably thousands others, that tire is trash. If you had no problems with them you are in the very low minority.

I have heard the bad reviews about the Pirellis numerous times as I have been looking at tires to replace the original set of Pirelli's on my 2007 Super Crew. I have to admit that I just passed 64,000 miles on these tires and have had absolutely no issues with them. Needless to say I am currently in the market for a replacement set.

It appears as if we are in the same area of North MS - where did you happen to get these tires?

My first set was ordered online from treadepot.com. Byhalia tire and battery mounted and balanced them. The second set I got directly from Byhalia tire. Real good to deal with.

Thanks for the info. I noticed that they are also carried at Sears.
