if got a 08 f150 4x4 with 2.5 level kit, goin to do a 18x9 rim with 4.5 bs, will a 295/70r18 (34x11.61x18) rub, i know ill have to trim valence, but will it rub anywhere else?

probably going to have some definite rubbing issues with that backspace. I know members on here running that tire size, but they are running wheels with like 5.5" to ~6+" of backspacing.

i think most complaints were around the lower plastic piece on the inside of the front fender wells. I am looking into this tire size as well, or similar with 20"s, ive been told to stay close to stock rim backspacing if only using a level kit.

See my thread and UNC_Lariat's thread. Both of ours had BS of 5.71" though instead of the 4.5". Personally I think the 4.5" would stick out too much. I had to trim very little on the front valence. No pics yet of the trim. Leave for work in the dark; get home in the dark. Lariat had to trim a little as well.

Hope this helps.

those r the same tire im lookin at getting, those look really good, like to see what would happen with that size on a 4.5 bs, i think it may rub though when u turn on the back of the front fender lookin at the picture, but im not sure tire does look good though

You will need to get closer to a 6.5" back spacing or 35mm offset to provide the best fitment for the tire size you want to run.

I just had mine put on today, but I am using the factory wheels for now. They do not rub at all on my truck with this set up. I will eventually look for black wheels with specs similar to the factory.

Well I had this exact question. Now I just purchased my 295/70/18 Trail Graps and they were delivered today. I have the Centerline Wolverine wheels 18X9 with 4.5 inches of backspacing. Gonna find out on Tues how they fit.d Hopefully I dont have to cut too much of my fenders away to make them fit. i will be posting pics soon of the change.

Negative...Just mounted my 295/70/18 Terra Grapps today. I was nervous as hell do to the comments like the one above. Already trimmed some of the inner wheel well and valance from the 325/60/18 Terra Grapps I had. Just a minor, i mean very minor spot of rubbing with the new tires. I will post photos in my thread. See the "My 295/70/18 4.5 w/ 4.5 BS thread" And the tires look just sick....
