Aftermarket Wheels and TPMS?

If you get aftermarket wheels, do you have to get new TPMS sensors installed? Or are the current ones compatible? Anyone with experience with this?

I'm looking to keep the same size as my factory 18" wheels now.

You can reuse the sensors, which is actually preferable, but you will have to purchase something to mount them. The OE valve stems may work, or you may have to purchase an adapter to use the valve stem sensors with a band mount.

If you use the valve style TPMS then you need a TPMS replacement kit to reuse your old sensors. If you have the band style then you need to purchase a new band. The Tire Rack has both available or you can purchase them from the dealer.

I've got a 2010, which ones do I have? From what I've seen online replacements run about 75-100 a piece?

The 2010 has the valve stem type. As I stated, depending upon the wheel you use will tell you whether you can use replacement valve stems or whether you will have to have a special band/holder that will fit the valve stem type of sensor. The band type sensors will not work with the 2010. They are used on 2007-2008. 2009 up use the valve stem type.
