Wheel Offset Questions

I am looking at the KMC XD and Monster wheels. Intrested in 3 offsets -12, 00, +18. How far with the different offsets will the tire sit out from the fender?

Thanks

The difference between the 2 offsets are 1.18 inches. Depending on what look your going for and how much you want them to stick out, I would say the +18 would keep the wheel closer to the stock position, which will help keep the side of the truck cleaner. The wider stance that the -12 offset will give, does have a sweet look, but does also allow more mud and water to be flipped up on the side of the truck. The XD Monster is a sweet wheel. It was that or the new Enkei GRAB6 for me. I went with the Enkei and love it. Here are some links if you want to see both.

Enkei GRAB6:

Let me know if you have any questions.

The Stock offset on the 03 Ford f150 wheels would be a +14. Every 10mm = .39". The higher up in the number you go will put the wheel closer to the frame and lower or negetive offsets will push the wheels out. The +18 will be .16" further in toward the frame from the stock wheels and the -12 offset will be 1.02" further out from the stock set up.

We do have the XD Monster available in a 18x9 with a +18 offset.

Backspacing is much easier for me to visualize at a glance. 4.5 or 5 inches is pretty much the standard for 97-03 offroad styled wheels.
