Correct Tire Pressure

I am using Michelin P275/55R20 tires & I'm not completely sure what the optimal air pressure is. Any help would be appreciated.

The correct tire pressure should be mounted on the door jam of the vehicle (depending on how old your vehicle is) or in your manual. You should use that information primarily. If you have aftermarket (upsized) tires, then use the tire manufacturer's recommended pressure.

Post more info on your vehicle and that can help.

It's posted on the sidewall of the tire. what load range. It could be anywhere from 35 to 65psi depending on tire and personal preference. Smoother ride = lower pressure, better mileage and higher load capacity = higher pressure.

What is posted on the sidewall is the max pressure, not the recommended pressure. Also, you can't necessarily go by the door sticker with aftermarket tires. Different load ranges would require different recommended pressures. What is on the door is only for tires of the same load range as what came with the truck originally.

Since the tire is a P series, probably with a max of 35 or 44, run them at 35.

If the max is 44, it really gets all it's load carrying ability at 35. Anything above that just helps with sidewall flex.

Woods - what pressure do you run? I have Toyo M/T's as well and was wondering what you were running?
