Paging wandell (or anyone that can help)!!! need some info!

So I asked this in another thread but I was told that ur the person to talk to. So here it goes... I was told by an employee at 4wheelparts that I may not be able to put a set of bfg at ko's in a size of 305/65/18 because on the 04-08 f150fx4 that ford had two sets of the 18 inch fx4 wheels that the used but they had different offsets. He said that the offset I have will cause rubbing on the suspension even after the install of my bilsteins set for 2 inches. Is there any truth to what he said about the the same wheels but different offsets or is he fos?

As far as I know all of the 18x7.5 OEM Ford wheels have 5.5 inches of backspacing. The 305/65-18's (34x12.50) should not rub. A ton of people are running 305/70-18's (35x12.50) and they report only minor rubbing on the control arms at full steering lock.

Ford has 17", 18" and 20" wheels for the FX4, but not 2different styles of 18's.

Go back to 4WP, kick the salesman in the junk and find a new place to deal with.

Right. All of the 17's and 18's are 7.5 inches wide with 5.5 inches of BS. It just hit me that the salesman may be confusing the 17's and 18's with Ford's OEM 20's which are 8.5 inches wide and have 6.5 inches of BS. Now a lot of 12.50 inch wide tires will touch the upper control arm/ball joint when using them.
