I have a 2006 Supercab 4X4 with a 2.5" leveling kit and have decided to run Toyo Open Country MT tires (285-75-17) 34.1 X 11.6 on 17" XD Spy wheel. The question is whether to get an 17 X 8 wheel with a +18mm offset (5.2" backspace) or 17 X 9 wheel with -12mm offset (4.5" backspace)? I understand that with the negative offset the wheel will stick out about 2.8" further than stock and with the positive offset the will will stick out about 1.6" further than stock. I think I am calculating the backspace correctly on these two options but I guess I am really asking for opinions as to what would look better. I'm also wondering if anyone can see any complications with this setup as far as rubbing??

Thanks for any advice or insight

The 8 inch wheel will stick out about 3/4 inch farther than your OEM wheel and the 9 inch wheel will stick out 2.5 inches farther than your stock wheels.
