Will 295/70/18's fit on 2wd w/ lvl kit?
I really dont know about sizes and fitting and backspacing (i dont even know what that means). i wanna try and put 295/70/18 Nitto Terra Grapplers on either some V-Tec Raptors or Pro-Comp Xtreme 7005 series. i have a 2wd with a 2.5" level kit.
will i have any problems with rubbing?
what width should i go with and what size backspacing?
if i wanna go with a 2 or 3" body lift in the future, will these tires be an ok size still?
thanks

I agree... stick with 305/60/18 or the 33x12.5 I'm hoping to get these babies on my stock 18" rims... soon as a little $$$ get freed up in my budget...
FYI mine are 285/65/18 set on stock KR rims (7.5" wide rim) they measure as mounted... 31.6" tall and tread width 11.4" with section width about 3/4" -1" wider than that... (P.S. these are Hankook Dynapro AT... I think I'd like a more squared off look... tread width to section width ratio to be smaller ... equaling less sidewall bubble...)
I'm not set on my tire choice yet... I'll make up my mind when it's time...
If you go with an aftermarket rim, for that size 18 x 8-9" would look good and try to keep your Back Spacing as close to stock as possible...
Wandell, we are at 4.5" right?

that is not quite true. A 295/70/18 measures out to be 34.3" tall, 11.6" wide, and a sidewall height of 8.1". It is close to a 34 x 11.5" tire than it is a 35" x 12" tire. I know that tire would fit on a 4x4 truck with level kit, not sure about 2wd truck. With a level in front and blocks in rear, I would assume they would though.

that is not quite true. A 295/70/17 measures out to be 34.3" tall, 11.6" wide, and a sidewall height of 8.1". It is close to a 34 x 11.5" tire than it is a 35" x 12" tire. Either way, I think you did a straight metric to standard conversion. That's good in theory, but all tires of the "same" size do not measure up the same size.
A 295/70-18 Nitto Trail Grappler, according to Nitto's spec sheet on their website, is 34.57" tall and 11.73" wide.
