Brake Dust pitted Wheels?

Ok, can the brake dust cause after market wheels to pit? I seen the same caked up residue on the back of my factory wheels now my Moto951's are pitted all to heck.

Yes, I had my moto 951 for abour 2 years, probably about 6 months ago they started pitting from my lack of maintenance on them (Letting brake dust build up) so I got rid of them while they still looked decent.

My Helo Maxx's were pitted as well and I think it was caused by the brake dust. Only the fronts were pitted, but the rears were like new.

Brake dust can cause ANY wheel to pit/corode/discolor. Stock, aftermarket, aluminum, steel, chrome, powdercoated, painted, polished aluminum, you name it.

Yep, my wheels have the same problem. I put new pads on when mine were only halfway worn just because of that. 100 bucks for brake pads is a lot better than 1000 for new wheels.
