2005 fx4 tire suggestion
Definitely go with a bigger size, and definitely make it a Nitto Terra Grappler, it is replacing the old school BFG A/T....Heck of tire in any terrain..especially ice and snow, and unless ur a mud bogger its great in the mud too....and You should see at least 50,000 MILES!!....Awesome tire
Love it

cant go wrong with the goodyear wrangler silent armour..quality tire...and from my personal exp. they are GREAT in the snow..i run load range c's and they have a pretty soild sidewall and a rim guard..they are a little pricy but remember..with tires you get what you pay for
I'm an idiot. I found the thread a while back and didn't put it in favorites, but what is the Max size for a '05 FX4 (stock 18's) with a 2.5" lift and without?
I thought completely stock was 275/70/18 and 2.5" was 285/75/18?
(Only tire I'm considering Toyo Open MT btw)

Thanks for all the replies, good advice as always. I'm closing on a house next week so I wanted to wait a bit longer for tires but a flat that can't be repaired pushed me to get new tires this weekend.
Anyway, I went with the 275/70/18 BFG AT's. Great looking tire and fills the open space much better than the stock BFG's. My truck is completely stock btw.
I'll get around to posting a pic with the new tires if anyone cares (although I'm sure there are some floating around here somewhere).
Thanks again for all your help.
