Tire Options/Help

Hey guys. Looking at new tires I see I see I have a lot of options. I drive a 99 f250 LD and will be most likely getting a leveling kit with the tires. I've been looking at mainly toyos, coopers and BFGs (265/75/16 or 285/75/16). I drive about 90% highway, but when i go offroad it is on my families farm for work purposes and I need good traction to not get stuck(2wd only ...). Anyways would a A/T tire be good enough for my purposes like the bfg at, cooper st, or toyo at? These would cost less also. Or would it be worth it to spend the extra say $50-75 more to get the m/t of each brand?

Thanks!

Also, I've read all over that 285s will fit on a 7.5 inch rim. I'm assuming this is true, but am not sure what size rim i have on my truck. I'm assuming it's a 7.5 inch rim. Does anyone know?

Thanks!

Your OEM wheels are either 16x7's or 17x7.5's. I'd go with a 265/75-16, 265/70-17 (32x10.50) or a 285/75-16, 285/70-17 (33x11.50).

I'm pretty sure they are 16x7...could I put 285s on them? I'd rather 285s over 265s if I could fit them, but honestly in your opinion, would it make that much of a difference?

thanks

You can fit a 285/75-16, barely. In my opinion they look to "stuffed" on a stock 4x2. Now if you do add the leveling kit they will look much better.
