35x12.5x20 on 01?

whats up everyone, i'm thinkin about puttin some new wheels and tires on my truck and really like moto metal 951 wrapped in some mud grapplers.. I have a 4in body lift on my truck and currently have 315x75x16 on it that run just fine with out rubbing. Would i get any rub with the 35x12.5x20?? is there anyone out there running this set up on the 01 body style with pictures? thanks

Not sure about the tires, but on the wheel subject... I'm pretty sure the 951's aren't being made in a 5x135 bolt pattern. There were my first choice too, but i couldn't seem to find em.

A 315/75-16 is a 35x12.50-16 tire. So, yes a 35x12.50-20 will fit.

if youre dead set on those wheels, just buy adapters to make them a 6x135 which is a newer ford. and then buy the wheels for a newer ford, and if you ever upgrade to an 04+ youll already have wheels and tires for it. but yeah i have a rough country 4 inch suspension lift, torsion bars cranked all the way up.. very minor trimming to get rid of the rubbing. heres a few pictures. 20x9 kmc xd badlands, 35x12.50x20 nitto mud grapplers.

thanks. ive never heard them not being good for your truck, but maybe not being the safest route? ive personally had an adapter come off, but that was due to improper installation. but ive had mine on for almost 9k miles now, and they are doing fine. you just have to make sure every 5,000 miles or everytime you rotate your tires to re loc-tite the adapters and youll be fine. heres how i looked at it, if im going to spend 2500 dollars on wheels and tires im going to get what i want the first time around, and since they didnt make my bolt pattern anymore, i had to get adapters. that way you end up with no regrets, and no what-ifs.

Yeah, what's up with the "4 inch body lift"?

Anyway, it's not the MM 951, but check out the American Eagle 079. Not identical, but close and it's available in the right bolt pattern.

im not trying to just bash your body lift...

theres a 4" gap between your body and frame. how can that not look bad?

not to mention the safety aspects of having 4" blocks holding your cab to your frame.

i hope you dont leave the pavement in that thing.

id love to see the 4" gap between your tailgate and bumper, and hear you argue how it doesnt look bad.

I bet he's just a mistaken. Probably a 3 inch body lift. Hard to tell, but that's what it looks like in the pic.

i just would never run anything over an inch on something. not safe.

maybe its the jeeper in me lol, but thats seriously frowned upon, even on a mall crawler.

dont mean to be a hater, but on jeepforum you would get alot of questions about why you would be running that, and on pirate4x4 you would be flamed.

what exactly is the difference between an inch and a three inch body lift that makes it so unsafe. i know this is a topic that has been argued on for years but it seems like everyone that argues against them just talks about stories of a body falling off in a wreck that they heard from a friend of their brothers friend etc. etc.

yeah and im pretty sure the OP is running a 3in. kit
