Brake Pads

I need to change my pads and was wondering if there is one out there that will reduse the amout of dust that gets on my rims? My front "NEW" rims are red.

The "Search" option would of helped you out. But it seems Wagner Thermo Quiets are favoured by most, myself included.

I'm on my second set of Wagner ThermoQuiets. There are none better, as far as I am concerned. Use the advanced search and enter ThermoQuiets. You should find a lot to read.

The Wagner TQs are amazing. I never see brake dust.

I guess I am the oddball here. I didn't like the Thermo Quiets... I am using the EBC Greenstuff 6000s and love them...

I think there are several high quality pads out there that stop well, are quiet, and don't dust excessively. CarQuest Blues are another so I have been told. It's just that Wagner TQs are what I tried and I put 82,000 on the first set with no dust, no noise, so it was easy to go with the second set. They had quite a few more miles left in them, but I went ahead and replaced them.

It's probably just a personal experience thing. I had TQs with my first brake job. Dumb things kept throwing the lining off the backer. Might have gotten into a batch of duds though... LOTS of folks here running them and happy with them...
