Will they fit?? 02 4x4
Well, after seeing all these 35's on the site it makes me jealous. I've been looking to get new tires and rims but have been stuck on deciding sizes.
It's on 02 4x4 with torsion bars cranked and blocks in the back.. got about 3" out of it.
My first thought was 17x9 4.5bs on a set of 285/70/17's.. but I want a very agressive and offset look.
I would love a look like this but I don't know what backspacing or sizing i need to get it with the wheels. But i suppose the MAIN question is... will 35's even fit on my truck how it sits?

(I appologize if this is old news, my search window won't work)
Any input or pics are greatly appreciated!

Yes, width comes into play. A 33x12.50 tire in metric sizing would be a 305/70-16, 305/65-17, 305/60-18 or a 305/55-20. The 285/70-17's you mentioned are basically a 33x11.50 tire.
Also, it's fine to use the 04-08 truck to show the look you want, but keep in mind that they use completely different wheel specs than the 97-03's. For instance, a 10 inch wide wheel with 4.5 inches of bs will stick out a lot more on an 04-08 than on a 97-03.

Wheel width and BS are as important to fitment as the size of the lift. If you got 3 inches of lift outta cranking your torsion bars, that just means the preload was set low from the factory. It doesn't mean you are any taller than any other F-150. Basically, If you want wide aftermarket wheels, you will need to stick with 33's. If you want to run 35's, use your OEM wheels or add a body lift. Personally, I'd go with the body lift and 35's.
