Question 35" KM2's with 2.5" Level - What numbers would I choose?

Hey guys, hope everyone is well. I had posted this thread in a different section, but decided I'd get another round of opinions. First off, should I do 33's or 35's? If 35's, what would the numbers be with 18" rims? I don't really want the tires to extend out from under the well.

Thanks for your time,
Anthony

Those are FX4 wheels? Not the standard 18" I am used to seeing.

As far as size. 35x12.50-18 diameter x width - wheel size
This is the standard method of tire sizing.

Becoming ever more popular is p-metric sizing...for even more explanation see here: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=46

The additional width of the tire will be separated between both sides of the wheel. For instance, if you have 275/65-18 as a sock tire, they are 275mm wide (275mm / 25.4mm/in = 10.83" wide. If the bfg is truly 12.5" wide, then it will be 1.67" wider overall. 1.67 over two sides mean the tire will stick both in closer to the UCA and out to the fender 0.835" more. As t stands now The tire will nto stick out past the fender. If you have seen any images on here of the few FX4s and other 4wd trucks leveled with 35 BFGs.

I plan on getting new rims. What would it be in the p-metric system?

To fit a 35x12.50 tire (305/70-18) you will need an 18x8 inch wheel with 5.5 inches of backspacing. Personally, I'd go with an 18x9 inch wheel with 5 to 6 inches of backspacing and some 33x12.50's or 325/60-18's (33x13.00).

Any of the tire sizes listed are good. I have 305 65 18 BFG Allterrians with 2.5" leveling kit. Best I can find out thats about equal to 34x12R18. These fit good and I can make them scrub the frame rail if I want to by going to full lock. Just some info to think about when looking at tire height and width.

Do you have pictures that could show me the difference between those two sizes?

Thanks,
Anthony
