sounds like warped rotors. Search on that to learn more.

could be control arm bushings, tie rods, wheel balance, could be any # of things or a combo. Get it checked out by a good mechanic or even a dealer. have them tell you whats wrong then you swap the parts out yourself.

If it was those things then wouldn't it vibrate all the time... he said it only vibrates when he brakes.

yeah it just shakes when braking. and when it does it and the window is down you can faintly hear somesort of rubbing sounds that is in sync with the shaking. and i just checked the brakes yesterday and they are in excellent shape

did you check the run-out on the rotors?

... I somewhat doubt it since you can't do it in your garage without some special gauges...

Maybe it would, maybe it would not. Not having ridden in the truck while it is doing it's thing, I am only guessing what it might be.

By the way you could have a tire a (or 2) that the belts have seperated on that can also cause the truck to "shake" while braking.

I would have it looked at, shaking cannot be good, for all anybody knows one (or 2) of your wheels may be about to come off!

Good Luck, be safe.
