Question what size rims do i need??? HELP!!!!!

I just got an awesome deal on a new set of 35x12.50x17 bfg mts!! i have an 06 STX 4x4 with a 2.5 AS, ive decided on a set of pro comp 7005s but i dont know which size to get.....17x8 bs-4.5 or 17x9 bs-4.75 ????? i know i need to keep my wheels close to stock but im ok with trimming a little. Any advice would be great!!!

I have an '07 STX with a 2" leveling kit. I am running 17x8.5 AMP Bitterroots with 4.53 BS. I have Toyo Open Country MTs 34/11.50 R17s no rubbing or trimming. If you put 35/12.50 R17s with only a leveling kit on your truck you will most likely have some serious rubbing issues with either wheel you have mentioned...

Wheels with the stock BS would be a better choice with the tire height and width you have mentioned...

I agree. You need an 8 inch wheel with 5.5 inches of backspacing.

What color truck?

I like the Moto Metal 951 or the eagle alloy 079 or the 179.

Well, we know that size will work with an 8 inch wide wheel with 5.5 inches of bs. A 8.5 inch wide wheel with 5 3/8 will be really, really close.

Haha...I've been looking for this combo for quite sometime now with no luck. 4.5" backspacing is very common with 17x8

Wheel size

I went from stock 18" to aftermarket 17" with 0 offset & 4.5" of backspacing and have 285-75-17 Toyo MT's (34" tall). I have an 07 FX4 with Bilstein 5100's that level the front with the back. I have no rubbing issues at all. I bought Centerline wheels from the factory at a hugh discount. They have overstock sales so take a look. Good luck getting pro comps cause the won't be available till late Jan 2010 at the earliest for most popular styles and sizes.
