Brake Rotors

Hey Guys. I am working on getting my truck ready for a trip through the mountains towing my 21 foot boat weighing about 4200 lbs. I want to put new pads on the truck but was also looking at rotors. I did find these rotors online and wanted to see if anyone has heard or used them. Let me know.

Me personally, and a few others here go to Carquest and get their "blue" line of semi-metallic pads and their more expensive rotor. I myself am having alot of success with this as well as the "blue" ceramic pads on my rig now. Another good suggestion is Wagner Thermo-quiet pads, whoever sells them. You aren't towing a huge amount so you don't need alot of braking. A brake controller for electric brakes is a must. I just towed a 99 zx2 escort on a 20 ft bobcat trailer absolutely fine. Don't get cross drilled rotors, my personal advice. Besides, parts houses have this crap in stock, and you could be done everything in a few hours.

Yeah. I really do not like the pads they are going with. I was going to get the Wagner Gold pads. My uncle put them on his truck and loves. I have towed my boat a lot but I know I need to put new brakes on the truck. The truck tows it like the boat is not even there. Just didn't know what to do with the rotors.

There is a big debate on wether a truck needs drilled/slotted rotors or not. After reading the 10 page thread, I decided to go with wagner non-drilled/slotted. I love them. Got the wagner thermo quiet pads with them, and they work great. Check out rock-auto.com and see what they have for the 04+. Their prices are unbeatable.
