Spare tire space?

Does anyone know if a tire larger than stock will fit in the stock spare area on an 04 screw? I have a worn 33" Toyo AT that I can put in there and wondered if it would fit. Would sure like to not worry about running a smaller tire if I should need to put on my spare.

i believe a 33'' will fir on your truck. But to be certain, take the stock spare out and try the new tire

The OEM tires on the FX4's are almost 33 inches tall so I'd guess you would be fine. I know a 35 inch tire will fit on the 97-03's (I have one).

I was looking at the same issue with my truck. 33s will normally fit with a stock exhaust, but you have dual exhaust coming out the back. Therefore, it would be prudent to measure before you spend your money. All exhaust systems are not the same...

pulled the spare out today and took a look. My exhaust does go outside the brackets for the spare so they shouldn't effect fitment.

My other thought was How much would 1.3" really make if I was to run it as a spare. There's a huge difference in width of course but my stock spare is 275R65x18 (32.1") and my tires on the ground are 325R60x18 (33.4")

My concern is my LS rear end and running to different highths of tires. But would only 1.3" really do that much damage unless it was left on long term or at high speeds? Doesn't seem like a whole lot.
