30's to 32's stock?

I have a 1997 F150 Lariat with the Triton 5.4L V8, super cab, 4x4 automatic trans. Stock tires are the 255/70/16's on the stock alloy 16x7's. They seem very small and it looks like I have plenty of room for larger tires. The 255's are basically 30's and the 285's are 32's. Will 285's fit without mods? If I had to I would crank the tbars a little and im getting new springs in the back anyways so my main concern is the front, I dont want them to rub at all. Or should I just play it safe and go with 265/75/16's? Either way I was planning on Cooper S/T's its a decent tire from what I hear. Any answers? Thanks

Yes, 285/75-16's would be the perfect size. However, they are 33 inches tall (approximately).

Seen 285's on stock rims without having to turn the bars on many trucks
