shipping stock rims

shipping stock rims

just needing some advice on shipping my 09 stock fx4 rims to New York. i have never shipped anything like this and not sure who to use. does anyone know how much the 18" rims weigh? any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks, nsanef150

Just take them down to your local "Mail Boxes Etc." type of a place and either have them thrown into a box with packing peanuts, or even just wrapped with a healthy amount of shrink-wrap and you should be ready to slap an address label on them and send them UPS Ground.

I wouldnt get them boxed and packaged my them they will rip you off very much, if anything go in there get the boxes and peanuts then go home and pack them your selves.

I mailed a set of rims from PA to CA once by USPS. All I did was put the address label on the "inside" of the rim, (the part hidden by the tire) and wrapped a few layers of clear packing tape, no box. Total cost was around $70-75, I think, it was over a year ago.
