Caliper rattle...

Hey guys. I'm posting this via moile version so I'll try to keep it short.

I have a 2001 F150 4X4 Sport 5.4L and have noticed a rattle coming from the brakes when I go over bumpy blacktop. I noticed that when I hit the brakes or hold on the brake it won't rattle. I talked to my mechanic and he said that there are anti rattle O-ring type deals (just a quick little talk on the phone) that are used for anti rattle. My question is, before I pay him to replae him, can anyone help my out by letting me know how to get to these anti-rattle pieces and check or replace them on my own? Thanks

Edit: it's only rattling on the front right brake

Pads

Mines a 4x2 but I just did the brakes last month (one of the few things I can still do on trucks now days). There's a spring in the bottom of the caliper that you have to press the pads down onto in order to get them into the caliper. If I remember, there was a bolt through the bottom of the caliper that held the spring in place. I don't remember anything else as far as o-rings etc in there.

On mine, about the only time I ever have anything unusual is when one of the pads get low and need to replace the pads, then it's a shake not a rattle. On mine, I think you can see it all with the tire off without any disassembly, maybe check yours out and see if the spring is damaged or missing.

If it makes a difference, I have a 97 4x2
