disc brake splash shield rusted away

Anyone know if the front splash shields are available aftermarket? Or, does anyone have the Ford part number for them (and bolts)? Mine are rusted thin, and the right side has detached and is rubbing the rotor. Thanks.

Just ditch them. Rocks/mud/dirt collects there anyway, it isn't going to hurt anything.

The dealer will have them or can get them in a day or 2. They were pretty cheap, I figure keeping them on is a good idea. Nothing to putting them on either.

There is when the rotors are seized on...even when anti-seize was used last time. Be prepared.

Your dealer should have them, or napa might be able to get them, but honestly the best thing to do is ditch them all together.
If you do get them you may as well get new rotors because your old ones will be destroyed by the time you get your rotors unsiezed.. be prepared it aint fun, lol!!

I'm having a re-occuring problem with my right front rotor warping since discarding the rusty piece of sh!& . I'm inclined to think not having it is causing the problem. Anyone else have a similar problem? Anyone know what the dealer cost is?

I forgot about this post...it was from last year. But yes, I bought them from the dealer. Get new bolts, too. Mine were very rusty, and the heads rounded off. If I recall, the shields were under $20 each. If I find the part numbers, will post them.
Did the complete brake job, rotors, pads, splash shields. Brembo rotors & Motorcraft pads.

Since removing my splash shields I haven't had any more warping issues. Glad I got rid of them and won't be putting them back. Never warped the rears and I am very much dependent on my e-brakes which have corrosion issues of their own since I haven't updated the levers in there yet, so I'll be leaving the rear shields in place...for now.
