got a 04 4.6 screw and i got a set of dale jr. black cannon rims, i ordered a 2.5 inch leveling kit, and was still undecided on tires. i'm just gonna go with an a/t tire for sure just wondering if i should go 285 or 305. they will be on 17s. just wondering how bad the 305 would kill it for power i have and edge evolution in it.

 

i would be more worried about the trans vs power, bjp207 wrecked his trans from lugging 33's with a 4.6

 

that's what i was wondering how the trans would hold up. i never use my truck off road

 

I'm running 35's with the factory 3.73 LS til i can get the cash for a 4.10 or 4.56 conversion. I'm not having much of a power problem at all and I don't even have my Edge in the truck. And yea, I am worried about the tranny.

 

ran 36's on my 4.2 with stock 3.55ls

ill be running 40's here in a few weeks when the truck is done. ill be runnin 5.13 gears

 

305/40/22 with a 4.6. Not a great amount of power but as it sounds from others that seems to be inherent of an unmodified F150. Mines sorta sluggish.

 

my truck has the 3.73 gears in it too. i think i'm likly just gonna go with 285's so that won't be as bad as ur 35's 06HDFXST. u should get a chip u won't be disappointed. i've had mine in now for 40,000kms trouble free so far

 

I have an Evo, but it's at Edge getting a reflash. I dying to get it back. I also have a K&N drop-in. By the way, when you get em mounted post up some pics. I'd like to see the Dale Jr's, I almost bought those but I couldnt decide on the black or the chrome.

 

ya i have a k&n drop in too. gonna put in black headlights, and led tail lights soon too my truck's black so it should look pretty sharp. how hard is ur truck on gas with the 35's?

 

Stock 16 in Rims with 265/75/R16. No Lift of any kind.

 

Since you have the 3.73 gears you should be fine with 33 inch tires. You mentioned 285's and 305's, but that is only the width portion of the size. For example a 285/70-17 and a 305/65-17 are both approximately 33 inches tall.

i wouldnt reccomend 33's with 3.55's and a 4.6 and a stock program, if you get a tuner, you will be ok, with the stock tune it is constantly shifting, hence my tranny going at 67k
