Question 9" or 10"

I had a 1999 f-150 and had 305/70/16 and 16x10 wheels and I really liked the look. Now I have a 2003 fx4 and I want to know if I go with a 17x9 and 305/70/17 will it still stick out past the fender wheels like the 16x10's did? And is there really any difference in the look of a 9" or 10" rim?

Depends on the wheels backspacing. Most 17x9's have 5 inches of backspacing while most 16x10's have 4.5 inches. So, most 17x9's will tuck in 1.5 inches farther than your16x10's.
