2005 F150-crew 4 wheel auto.

Put new front pads in 7k ago. 155K on clock,all highway. smelled a burnt electrical type of smell twice, about two weeks apart. Located it and saw smoke coming off left front outside pad. I think it may be a piston, I won't get to work on it until next sat..

Any ideas??
