Tire & Wheel question from a newbie

I'm not at all familiar with tire/wheel sizes, so a couple of easy questions for someone to answer hopefully.

I've got a 04 FX4 Scab, with the 18" oem wheels. I'm too cheap to replace the wheels, so I would like to know how big of tires I can fit on there, with and without a front leveling kit. (I don't have a leveling kit now, but am contemplating putting one on, from what I hear, they are pretty cheap)

I am wanting to dress the truck up a bit someday, if I ever can get a hold of some extra cash, but gonna need tires soon, so if I can step up from the stock tires (yeah, I still have BFG rugged trails on it) as long as I have to replace them.

Would BFG All Terrain T/A KO's in LT325/65R18 work? With a front level that is?

Also if you'd recommend putting the front leveling kit on, is it fairly easy to do by myself? Any specialized tooling I'd need to get my hands on to do it?

the 325 tire will be too big, both for the stock wheel (too wide for the wheel, will cause irregular wear) and the stock stance (won't fit). if i were you, i would go w/ a 305/65/18 at the biggest. that's like a 34'x12.50'' tire, so a leveling kit will help you have some fender clearance. it'll look good, trust me. welcome to the site.

I agree. You can fit up to a 35x12.50 (305/70-18) with a leveling kit. A 305/65-18 would look great.
