4wd or 2wd?

I know I asked this question before but can't find the post. I have a 98 4x4 ext cab. flare side. All the nice rims I find they say 2wd only. Is there a difference? Can I buy a rim that is only for a 2wd f150? will it fit my truck or is the centre to small? thanks

I don't know where you read that, but it's not correct. The 97-03 4x4 and 4x2 wheels interchange. Ford used the same specs and actually the same wheels on 4x4 and 4x4 models.

I think they mean that basically by term, 4wd looks more rugged and off road, 2wd looks more street and more available in larger sizes.
