Angry Abs help

When I step on the brakes in 04 F150 the brakes act like they would as if you were on ice even though I'm on dry roads. Most of the time the ABS light isn't on, but every once and awhile it will come on. When the light does come on the bakes work. So can some one tell me what might be the problem.

the same thing happened to me after i installed my lift. it turned out my ABS sensors got messed up. sometimes they would work and sometimes the light would come on and they would'nt. i just replaced the the sensors but i'd get a second oppinion if i were you. the pair of sensors cost me $300 so its not something you want to get wrong.

You can have a bad ABS sensor, low brake pads or even a bad wheel bearing caused this on my 97 f150 4x4.Or just dirty abs sensor too.

Sounds like a ABS Wheel Speed sensor on its way out, my car did the same thing and a abs wheel speed sensor ended up being bad and the same thing has happend with my truck, i didnt fix the wheel speed sensor on my truck and the abs light is on and now because of it the abs module makes abs innopertable because of it.

I just replaced my front rotors and had the same abs issue. After inspection,I found out that the ring on the driver side new rotor(the ring on the inner that looks like a gear is what gives the sensor a speed reading)was warped.Jack up one side at a time, spin the wheel with your hand and inspect that ring for warpage/crack/any damage.
