is that a 4x4 truck or 2wd and how much did you drop it, i dont want to drop it at all or if i do only like a 1" drop in the rear to sit level with the front
what size tires are those you got, nvm seen they are 305/35/24 do you have any problems with the rims bending if you hit small potholes or anything like that or does it ride rough people say dont get a small sidewall or you will have damaged rims, the 26's i was looking at are 305/30/26 or the 305/25/26 or 305/35/24

ok so you get no rubbing even with the 2" drop in the front and 4" in the rear. The stock height is about the same for the 2001 2wd compared to your 05 2wd right.
I am not sure if i want to do 24's or 26's on my 01 2wd king ranch supercrew going to keep stock height prob not gonna drop it if i do only will be 1" drop in the rear to level it with the front.
Whats the biggest i can fit i was considering 305/40/24 or 295/45/24 or 305/35/26 or 295/35/26 or if i can do 26's and do the 295/40/26 or 305/40/26 want a big enough sidewall so it doesnt look dumb but worried about rubbing.
Will it rub from being to high/tall or too wide and rubbing the inside parts like the arms and such

for tires that might fit looking at found
305/30/26=33.2" but only a 3.6" sidewall
305/35/26=34.4" and a 4.2" sidewall but only tire this size is toyo $680 a piece
295/30/26=32.9" only 3.5" sidewall
was looking at 295 series to prevent rubbing inside
295/35/26=34.1" 4" sidewall want at least a 4" sidewall does this size even exist i havent found it anyhwere online.
What would be the best to go with on my f150 2wd stock height, also with 26's how much decrease in gas mileage will i see 2-3mpg
Also to me on these trucks 24's look like 22's and 26's look like 24's and just fit perfect at least like in pics its like that

ok i was told i would be alright if i measure the center of my axle to fender which is aout 18.5"x2= 37" if its under that shouldnt rub figured add 3" for bumps when the tire comes up so i didnt want anything more than like a 34" total but figured 33" would be best give me 4" for clearance, bc people have 305/35/24's the truck above the new style with a 2/4" drop and he doesnt get rubbing, thats why i was considering a 295/35/26 good sidewall and slightly smaller than the 305/35/26 but its skinnier by half inch so i think that would help, since i think the width of the tire is gonna rub not so much the height
do they even make a 295/35/36 tire, and only toyo i have found makes a 305/35/26 thats what i really want if i can find another brand where they aint so pricey if they wont rub
your tires are total 32.8" do you get any rubbing and thats 2wd correct so that height is the same as my 2001 f150 right or the new style sits at a different height.
How much room do you have for bigger rims/tires on yours

Well, the 03-08 Expy and 04-08 F-150's are completely different trucks with completely different wheel specs than the 97-03 F-150's. Howerever, I have noticed a lot of similarities in what sizes tires will fit, but it's just that the wheel specs are different.
My 305/45-22's are approximately a 33x12.50-22 tire. Mine fit fine at stock height. I never noticed any rubbing, but one day while changing my oil, I noticed a shiney spot on one side of my anti-sway bar. It was where one tire was just barely touching it at full steering lock. The point being, if my tire was any taller or wider I would be doing some trimming or putting up with some rubbing.
I'm just guessing on your truck, but I wouldn't go wider than 305mm and I'd try to keep the height right at 33 inches.
I still think you need to start a thread asking for pics and tire/wheel specs of owners with large wheels on 97-03 F-150 4x2's. You may also wannna do this at FTW since they have more members with lowered trucks.

Here is a link for you. He has an fx2 and stock front, lower 2inch rear rolling on 26". Looks good to me.
