I know its been asked, but pics got me worried

Here are the pics i have uploaded. my truck doesn't say 4x4 or fx4 but is 4wd and all with 265 70 17's. I got the 285's in the pic, but am worried they will hit those fender flares. has anyone had to trim any of these before to get the 285's to fit? or had to adjust the torsion bars?

if you have a 4x4 then a 285 will fit with absolutely no issues whatsoever, even without cranking up the t-bars.

you also have to remember that with them just sitting bside your truck they are not as wide as they will be when they get put on the rim which will take away from the height of the tire.

Is that without the t-bars cranked? Or did you have to crank them to fit those 305's?

And just curious flyanbrian, what size are the tires you have on your truck now (the stock ones)?

I have 33x12.5 r17s which is basically the same as the 305/65 R17 just metric version and have no rubs either. I have my torsion bars cranked about an inch just to level it out. The 285/70 converts to a 33x11.5 thats why it will fit without having to crank the bars at all. Should look good though
