Chrome Lariat wheels question.

Chrome Lariat wheels question.
Did anyone ever tryed to remove the chrome cover on the aluminium wheels ?Looks like the wheels are painted dark grey under the chrome cover.

i thought the wheel were plated? are they just covers?

Actually Ford offered the 18" Lariat wheel in both a chrome and chrome clad wheel. My 07 has chrome clad and I've got a spare set of rims from a 05 that are chrome plated.

I just got a new lariat and I think mine are clad too...
