Personally, they are a horrible tire, not worth much IMO. They don't perform all too well off road, and get lousy highway miles. Really, and all around bad tire.

Maybe something like the TSL radial, TSL sx, TRUXS m/t or the new SS-m16 tires would be the ones I suggest, if your wanting to stay in the interco family. You also have Ground Hawg radials that you can run. I generally wouldn't suggest anything but maybe the TRUXS m/t for a daily driver. Interco is aimed more at trail machines vs. IFS pavements pounders. No Super Swamper will have a long street life.

I personally run Pro-comp extreme m/t and love them. They perform great off road, dig through plenty of gunk. Also could look into X-terrains, or Mickey Thompson Baja Claws.

Oh, and I run SS-LTB's on my Samurai project, about to switch over to TSL sx. But thats a dedicated trail rig.

Hope this helps ya some.

Hmm, interco does have good prices. I talked to some guys, and apparently the SSR isn't as bad as it used to be. Not sure if it just got a bad rap, or if they changed something up on it. But, apparently I was wrong to condemm it so quickly. I guess for the more extreme wheeling its not the best, but for your case, might work pretty good. Only problem is tread life. Wont last very long (but then again, no mud terrain really does)

Pro-comp has a buy 3 get 1 free sale at times (not sure when). I am running the pro-comp extreme mud terrains, and they are great, with a nice hum going down the road. Might look into those ?

Also those TRUXS m/t's are great tires. I know a couple guys running them, and they love them.

They are noisy as he!!. My dad has been through 2 sets on his f250. H egot decent life out of them but not worth it my opinion. My toyo mt's are on pace to do even better.

the guy said he likes loud though !! Some people love the hum of mean tires !

As for Toyos.... they are GREAT looking tires. But they don't perform. Basically super aggressive street tires. The super hard compound and close lugs make them not the best canidate for mud. They were designed for the pavement pounder, who wants to look aggressive. They last long time on road, very quiet, and have good road manners. Off road, they suck. Plus, the price on them, just rediculous.
